On the occasion of “Olympic Day” (on June 23th), “Olympia: from sports gesture to the streaming” program is going to start. FICTS – Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs (recognized by IOC International Olympics Committee) launches a new free network with27.234 videos in streaming for the 123 affiliated Nations (Italy included) on the platform SPORTMOVIESTV.COM (https://www.sportmoviestv.com/en/sportmoviestv-platform/): the first Digital Community of Information and Sports Culture with contents divided in easily accessible themed playlists on every device. A new interactive and instant way of living a personalized streaming that will help multiply interests, passions and emotions of the pictures.
This sports and cinema Platform is divided in 10 areas, in which: “The Olympic and Paralympic Games” (8.479 videos); “The Sports World Champions” (5.202 videos); “The exclusive pictures of the Olympic Channel” (214 videos); “CIO Media”; “The Window on Sports 2021”: the calendar and the pictures of the international events; “Youth and School”: in-school activities for students; ecc. (Att. 1 e 2); “Cinema & Sport”, the exclusive area to access to the winning films of the 20 international FICTS Festivals.
Access will be free from June 23th until the end of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The decision has been taken, jointly with CONI Lombardia, due to the increasing demand recorded in the past months by youth, and confirmed by the mass participation of the schools to the activities of the “Trofei di Milano 2021”, organized to recover what has been lost during the pandemic.
The President of FICTS Prof. Franco Ascani, the only Italian member of the IOC Olympic Culture and Heritage Commission and inventor of the platform, says: “The goal is offering to everyone the possibility to relive the strong emotions that only sport and the Olympism, with its 125 years of history, can give to help grow the Olympic spirit towards Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games”.
The “World FICTS Challenge”, Television, Cinema and Sports Culture World Championship articulated in 20 Festivals (5 continents) has also began and that will end in Milan from the 26 to the 30 of November during the international event “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2021 – 39° Milano International FICTS Fest” with the “ITALYMPICS 2026: Emotions and Values on the territory.
